more concrete
more concrete
more mistakes, as the shutters slip!
A quick repair
and then it's more concrete
and more concrete

Slow progress
Things are happening, very slowly.
That includes more mistakes. They've cut the slab for the stairwell incorrectly.
The stairwell hole is correct, but they've overcut and therefore cut througnh the main reinforcement in the slab. You couldn't make this stuff up!
It doesn't look much but it's giving me a headache.
On the brighter side this coming week should see more concrete poured (if the reinforcement is finished)

Progess at last!
They're back.
After a week of no activity they have finally come back to site.
Tomorrow should see the stairwell being cut out, but they told me that today would be the day for that when I spoke to them yesterday.
Programmewise I have no idea. I've given up believing what I'm told. My best guess would be the third week in February. We'll see.

Walls and Windows!!
Ok, they're not actually on site, but they exist in a warehouse in Widnes.
(and outside wrapped in black plastic in the case of the walls)
It's not perfect, but it's the best we can do at the moment.

If only it was right.
If this was in the right place it would be perfect.
But look at this, it's insulation we never thought we'd see again. (This hole is actually deeper than it looks. We're back within 4 courses of the basement slab)
I guess there's going to be alot of things we'll either see again, do again or that should have been finished back in November over the next few weeks.

Happy New Year?
lets hope it is.
It hasn't been much of a break over Christmas as I have been busy working out a remedial strategy.
Why do we need a remedial strategy? Well the basement and foundations are in the wrong location by upto 900mm.
Looks like the timber frame won't be on site for a while.
